If you are interested in joining the lab as a PhD student, there are a number of Doctoral Training Centers that offer studentships typically once a year. Currently we are recruiting three PhD students for these projects (application deadlines in January 2022!).
- Two projects are offered through the EPSRC Biodesign Engineering Doctoral Training Centre. They are titled “A molecular device for tuneable evolution” (with Prof. Guy-Bart Stan) and “Developing a CRISPR toolbox for efficient gene editing in crops” (with Dr Karen Polizzi and Prof. Cleo Kontoravdi). More info on the projects and how to apply can be found here.
- Another project is offered through the NERC Science and Solutions for a Changing Planet Doctoral Training Program. The project is titled “Analysis of the microbiota of kelp” and will be co-supervised by Dr Samraat Pawar and Dr Emma Ransome. Info on the project can be found here while general information on how to apply is here.
For information on other postgraduate opportunities at Imperial have a look here. In addition, we are happy to support applications to personal studentships in any of the areas of interest of the laboratory.
